Experience

I have over two decades of teaching experience with students and I also enjoy a career as a school librarian. I have teaching experience in all subjects including algebra, all romance languages, history, and more. My students range every age on the spectrum, from preschoolers to college undergraduates. My job as a tutor is to help increase the confidence of students in order to raise their grades and test scores. After developing experience with independent schools and with colleges, I have learned methods of test preparation for the PSATs, SATs, and school entrance exams. If your child needs help with rehearsing and preparing for a high school entry exam, I can get them where they need to be. As a librarian who has interacted with national educational organizations, I have come to learn how to craft my message to fit the needs of several students. I enjoy helping everyone from gifted students to those who have learning disabilities discover their own abilities and pursue their academic interest with eager determination. When I am not working, I love reading, knitting patterns, and hanging out with my family. One of my volunteer interests is in training service animals to assist those with disabilities.
